First of all, I'm just letting you know that my blog is down for a little while. I'm fixing some bugs and all that good stuff. I will let y'all know when I get them fixed! Love ya!
Recently I made the decision to faze out my bravenet blog and start a new blog elsewhere. I've been blogging here since January 2005 and I've made some wonderful friends. However, sometimes a person just needs a change. If where I'm going doesn't work out, I can always come back here. I am not deleting this blog, just moving on.
I'd love it if you'd follow me. Here's the link to my new blog. Please. leave a comment and tell me what you think.
I don't even really have to write anything. I think this scene says it all as to why I love this movie.
My title says it all, but whatever.
For Christmas, my best friend's elder daughter gave me a $20 gift card to B & N. Yeah, she doesn't know me well, does she? LOL!
Yesterday I decided to go spend it. I took my bud Mark with me, since he said he wanted to go. I think he's now learned his lesson.
We got to Clackamas & the place was busy, but not too bad. Because yesterday was a holiday, the mall itself was closed. We went into B & N and...well...I took a long time. I admit it. he-he. Like that's a surprise.
I was enjoying myself. All of the books I would have wanted I'd already read, so I decided to look for new-to-me authors. I went all through romance and had picked out a couple, but nothing was really crying out my name. I decided to over to fantasy, since a lot of the romance/paranormal authors are put there instead. I was looking through the S's and came across author Jeanne Stein. She's written a series about a bounty hunter, turned vampire. The books are written in first person, but done very well. Ms. Stein has written a series that is funny, scary, bizarre, cool and just plain interesting to read. There were some moments where I was just giggling my butt off.
I totally recommend her stuff.
Had a pretty boring New Year's Eve. Stayed up late, but was watching movies. Didn't realize it was midnight until our crazy drunk neighbor came outside banging a pot & screaming "Happy New Years!" at the top of his lungs.
Idiot.
I had physical therapy today. Wasn't too bad. I basically got a nice hand massage and she fixed my new brace. One more PT session to go & we'll see what happens. I cannot WAIT for this stupid thing to be done & over with.

What have I learned in the year 2007? A lot I'm sure...if I really sat here & thought about it.
Here are some things that happened in the new year. This list will be in no particular order since I honestly can't remember 99% of the things.

Well, there you go. My list in a nutshell. Not all that exciting, but that's what I can remember. I'm sure I'll remember more later. Have a great night, everyone!
Well, we made it! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! Mine went really well. All that drama I was fearing didn't happen, which was wonderful.
Just about everyone was sick though, so that made the day a bit unpleasant.
And to top it all off, we had a white Christmas! We over at Bro & SIL's getting ready to watch the Bourne Ultimatum when SIL pointed out that it was snowing outside. Sure enough, a ton of white stuff was just pouring out of the sky. We waited for a few minutes, but it just didn't stop. Since I'd be driving (my dad went home earlier 'cuz he was so sick), my mom said we should go & off we went. What a miserable drive home! Ugh! Slushy snow everywhere & people in Oregon/Washington State just DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE!!!!! Especially in snow.
Anyone get anything nice? We didn't do a lot of presents this year, which was fine with me. Bro & SIL bought me a really cute pair of jammies and a set of flannel sheets.
From my parents I got $25, an electronic solitaire game, a really nice big fleece blanket and here's the best part. They got me a subscription to AAA!!!! Now I won't need my mom to come save me anymore.
I've got a doctor's appointment in about an hour to find out if he thinks I'm work ready or not. Oh joy. Work is slow until next Monday. Here's the genius part. My work decided to put out a holiday sale catalog...on New Year's Eve!!! The geniusness of it all just boggles the mind...doesn't it?
Well, I'm off! Hope everyone had a great day yesterday! I'll be back later!
First of all, I sure hope everyone has an amazing Christmas! I won't be on here before then (after today). I'm sitting here listening to my family's church broadcast. Isn't the internet an amazing thing? It's so nice to be able to listen to something if you either don't want to or can't go to something. Today's broadcast is Christmas based. The orchestra & choir is really going all out. Absolutely beautiful.
My life has been making some very nutty twists & turns these last few months. It feels like every time I turn around something else is happening. It's enough to make my head hurt.
My hand is slowly but surely getting better. I can't type much, so at work I've basically been hanging out. We had SO many temps this Christmas season. It's been pretty nuts. My work has actually been very supportive about this whole thing. They could have made life hell for me, like my old job did when my tendonitis first flared up. Ugh! Thankfully, they have been pretty awesome.
The weather has been pretty awful. Cold and rainy. The freezing level is about 8000 feet today, but by Christmas day, it's supposed to only be 500 feet. Nuts! I hope it doesn't rain, because there is nothing worse than trying to figure out how to travel in crappy weather.
This Christmas has been frustrating for me this year. I can't go into a lot of details, but there are family obligations that are not being met and that's all I'll say. It's made this year not so fun for anyone in my family. I just want to run away in some ways, instead of dealing with all the drama that's been going on the last month or so.
Oh, well, whatever.
I told my mom I'd go rent a couple of movies for her. We both love "Peggy Sue Got Married" and she also like "Family Man" with Nicholas Cage. I really want to see Juno. I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I just might do that.
For Christmas this year, my brother, SIL and I went in on a gift for the parents. It's something they can really use (it was my idea) and I hope they like it. I also bought them each a stocking from the Dollar Tree and have filled it up with mostly nonsense stuff.
I figure nonsense never hurt anyone, right? LOL!
I know I totally gushed about North and South the other day, but I really have to tell y'all that you need to watch it.
Not only is it a beautiful romance, but it's also visually stunning and the acting is really impressive. Honestly though, if you loved Pride & Prejudice or any of those period dramas, I really & truly recommend it. You'll be on the N & S bandwagon too.
What is your favorite Christmas Carol? I have quite a few, but here are my very favorite. OHoly Night, Silent Night, Breath of Heaven (by Amy Grant), Unto Us a Child is Born, and the Hallelujiah Chorus. The Hallelujah Chorus always gives me goose bumps. It's not necessarily a Christmas song, but it fits the season so well, why not? LOL!
I usually prefer the Christian hymns/carols over the more commercialized one. I think it's because they are so powerful & amazing. They really remind me of why Christmas exists. It's not another holiday, there's a very strong reason behind it. It celebrates Christ's birth & THAT is why we celebrate Christmas.
Tomorrow I have physical therapy at 3. Ugh! But, it'll make me feel better. On Weds. I have a doctor's appointment to have him gauge where I am . It's still sore, but not throbbing. If I'm not doing anything, it doesn't hurt at all, but if I do anything that stresses it, it starts to hurt again. It makes me wonder if I should stay where I am or move on to a different job. Maybe something with less typing or manageable typing? I don't want this thing hanging over my head for the rest of my life.
Well, this is it for me today. Merry Christmas everyone! Enjoy the holiday & the time you spend with your family. Cherish it, okay? Love you all!

Richard Armitage from North and South. A beautiful love story that everyone who loves P & P should watch. Trust me, you will not be sorry. I saw it for the first time last night & all I can say is
I feel like I've got so much to say, but can't seem to come up with a way to say it. I'd say I'm more frustrated than anything. Work was doing okay with me not being able to type, but it's ending up being worse than I expected. I've basically been typing every day since I got back. I complained to my boss, her boss, but it just didn't seem to be doing any good. I finally sent an email to HR telling them that I was fed up & didn't know what else to do. I really shouldn't even be working. I can't type, can't do anything I usually do. I'm tired, frustrated and just...done.
